Mr Poppers Penquin at the Growing Stage

The Newton Theatre Arts Academy has opened up registration for Spring classes.

For budding screen actors there is Acting For Film & TV for students in 4th through 8th grade. Starting Wednesday April 3rd, this class meets on Wednesdays from 6pm - 7:30pm and runs for 8 weeks. There is no class on April 24th. This class focuses on acting for the camera and specific tools used in the medium. Students will work on monologues, scenes, film terms, make their own commercial and have the opportunity to watch playback of their work.

NHS Art Club will be offering 3 Yoga Classes for District employess, students and the community on April 3rd, 10th , and 17th. It will be held in the Halsted Cafeteria fron 4-5:15 pm. The cost will be $10 per person per class. $24 if they purchase all 3 classes up front. All proceed go to benefit the NHS Art Club.


 
 
 
 
 

 


The Newton Braves Youth Football League is hosting a fundraiser called "Egg My House"!  Participants will have the opportunity to purchase candy filled eggs to be hidden by football parents in their yards the evening before Easter.  A "ready-to-go" Easter egg hunt, if you will.  Eggs are $20 for 20, $30 for 35, or $40 for 50.  Anyone who is interested can email admin@nbyfl.com with questions or to order. 


Newton United Recreation Soccer

All children From Pre K, and Kindergarten through 8th grade are welcome to participate in our Spring recreation programs.


Parenting Program at Project Self Sufficiency


Adult volleyball has resumed at Halsted Middle School on Wednesday nights from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. All adults are welcome to participate!
