Calliope is Newton High School's literary and fine arts magazine.  The purpose of the publication is to motivate students to increase their creativity by showcasing their writing as well as their work in the fine arts.  Calliope provides opportunities to those interested in any aspect of publication, including typing, proofreading, editing, layout, and publicity.  The magazine has been state recognized for its excellence.  The group occasionally takes a special trip to a fine arts activity.
