Computer Club-Mr. Bolen will be supervising the computer lab for student use after school Monday thru Thursday through the end of the school year. Fitness Club- Mr. Grzymko will oversee a group activity after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:45 till 3:45 until the end of the school year. Solar Sprint Racers - Mr. Hofmann offers this activity from mid December through March. More information will follow as we get closer to the start up date. Student Council - Mrs.Nieman is the Student Council advisor. There are a number of activties planned for throughout the year. If the students finish their work, they are then permitted to explore and utilize the state-of-the-art programs on the MAC computers. In the past, students have composed three minute songs on Garage Band, managed their schedule on iCloud, and virtually explored the world while shooting and trimming video clips on Photo Booth. Of course, if the students need help with any of the aforementioned tasks, or simply struggle with their transition from the PCs to the MACs, there is always a knowledgeable and friendly teacher present to assist events. Writing Lab - Writing lab is a wonderful after school activity that enables students to not only complete language arts assignments, but homework in every subject area. Students can get extra help with reading and/or writing assignments. Writing lab is Monday-Thursday, directly after school until 3:45. On Monday’s and Wednesday’s writing lab is in room 229 with Mrs. Perrier. On Tuesdays and Thursdays it is in room 207 with Miss Woortman. Writing lab is open to anyone! Math Lab -The Math Lab runs Monday-Thursday from 2:45-3:45. The lab is currently being utilized for students in grades 6-8 who are in need of Math help. It also allows a place for students to stay to catch up on missing homework or a place to simply do their homework. The lab is optional for all student and we encourage students to stay whenever they feel they need Art Club -Art Club is for those interested in art and offers students opportunities to explore a variety of media while furthering their knowledge and skills in innovative and creative ways. Students participating in art club will also be able to participate in creating the set design for the spring musical. The club generally meets twice a month on Wednesday afternoons from 2:40 - 3:30 p.m. in Room G3.
