The Newton Public School District is a K-12 district with an enrollment over 1,500 students in our elementary, middle, and high schools. The high school is home to Newton residents as well as students from neighboring Andover Borough, Andover Township, and Green Township.
The mission of the Newton Public Schools is to educate the "whole child," and it is the expectation that all students shall achieve the Common Core State Standards and the New Jersey Core Curriculum Content Standards at all grade levels.
We believe in celebrating the diverse talents of our students, whether these occur in the classroom, on the ball field, on stage, or in the community. The social and emotional well-being of our students is as important as their academic achievement.
We believe that teachers, parents, and community must form partnerships in order to help children achieve their highest potential. Success is an unlimited commodity. Each child can, and should, experience success.
We are committed to developing the talents of tomorrow's leaders. The Newton Public Schools emphasize the importance of developing an array of skills that enable students to become happy and productive in their work, their community, and in their personal lives.
