PRE-K REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS: All preschool registrations must be confirmed with Jennifer Pasquali, Director of Preschool and Special Education. If you have not discussed your student’s enrollment with Ms. Pasquali, please email her at: jpasquali@newtonnj.org or call her at 973-383-7392 x4323. Once confirmed, please follow the online registration instructions below.

New Student's Online Registration Instructions
Registration for new students is online. Please see below instructions for completing this process. If you do not have online access to perform the online registration; please make an appointment with the Registration Office (registrar@newtonnj.org) . You will then need to submit the required documentation.

Note: If your child is currently registered for Preschool at Newton, you DO NOT need to register again for Kindergarten.
The Newton Public School District is pleased to announce information pertaining to its participation in the New Jersey Interdistrict Public School Choice Program. The program allows students who live within 20 miles of the Newton schools to choose Newton as their school district rather than their home resident district.
Any school-age resident of New Jersey in grades 6-12 may apply for the program. Students currently attending public school MUST notify their resident district by the Notice Of Intent to Participate form and must file a Student Choice Application to Newton by November 24, 2026. If selected as a Newton School Choice student, the student’s Notice of Intent to Enroll must be submitted to Newton by January 8, 2027.
