Hunger Free NJ
Pandemic-EBT (P-EBT) is a program to help families buy food for their children who normally would get free or reduced-price meals at school before the closures. The benefit for each eligible, school-age child is $416, which covers the days schools were closed due to COVID19. The funds will be available when you activate your card, which is similar to a bank card and protected with a Personal Identification Number (PIN).
Deliver Together
High school students from New Jersey have launched Deliver Together to positively impact those affected by the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19). Working together with community leaders, we are organizing free-delivery and errand-runs to mitigate the spread of the disease among those most vulnerable. We believe that it is our obligation to provide aid to those in-need and protect the them from unnecessarily journeying outside the safety of their homes. All the funds provided will cover operational costs, including initiating a website, compensating for gas, and protective gear for volunteers. This initiative will drastically lower the chances of elderly coming in contact with the disease by ensuring they remain within the confines of their home. Deliver Together is counting on your support to help move this initiative forward and defeat and the novel Coronavirus. We welcome any donations and suggestions and are extremely grateful for those who support this initiative!
Project Self-Sufficiency’s Food Project, Nourishing our Neighbors, is available to all Sussex and Warren County families in need throughout the summer, regardless of whether or not they are agency participants. The attached flyer provides details about how to access assistance.
There’s an incredible new opportunity for recovered COVID-19 patients to help their community. In coordination with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the Red Cross is seeking people who are fully recovered from COVID-19 to sign up to donate plasma to help current COVID-19 patients. If you have recovered from a positive COVID-19 diagnosis and wish to be a convalescent plasma donor, or if you know somebody who has recovered and may want to help in this way, please visit our COVID-19 Convalescent Plasma Donor Information Page. You could be eligible to help.

Food Pantry Resources:
Concerns surrounding COVID-19 increase by the minute. Low-income families are suffering more each day. As this situation develops, we need to ensure those in need are safe, secure, and healthy. Sojihuggles Children’s Foundation has provided over $13,000 in aid to families in need in Sussex County in just the past week alone. We are fortunate to have a very generous donor who will match additional contributions up to $12,000. Click here for more information.
