Dr. John C. Mather, a renowned physicist and Nobel Prize winner, was honored with the dedication of two newly renovated science classrooms in his name on Thursday, June 12. A graduate of Newton High School from the class of 1964, he has made significant contributions to the field of physics. His groundbreaking work on the COBE telescope earned him the Nobel Prize in Physics in 2006.
