Our 5th graders are already becoming pros at time management! This week, they learned how to fill out their daily agendas. Parents, be on the lookout for those agendas. We are a community of CAN-DOers!

Our 5th graders dove into their first days of school, putting their phonics knowledge to the test! It’s been a great start to the year

Thanks to Mrs Dominguez our 8th grade scientists kicked off the school year with hands-on activities, focusing on communication as a key element for success in science and life!

Scholars and staff were ready bright and early this morning to start the year off right! Happy first day Halsted!

There will be a field hockey meeting on Friday, September 5th from 12-12:30 in the Halsted auditorium. Important season information will be distributed. Please reach out to Mrs. Roe with any questions.

Our Halsted Staff is pumped and ready to start the 2025-2026 School Year with tons of hope and excitement for the new year! We can't wait to welcome our students to school tomorrow! (9/4) A reminder that tomorrow and Friday are Early Dismissal days! Go Braves!

Yesterday the Halsted Staff kicked off our 2025-2026 school year with a great in-service day that began with an activity reminding us how kindness connects us all. Each staff member shared how they want to integrate more kindness into their everyday lives this year!

This summer, students at the Summer Learning Academy are diving into discovery with the vibrant camp theme, Grow Wild, Grow Wise. Students explored the great outdoors through engaging activities like nature hikes, including the Braves Trail, tree and plant identification, and rock exploration during a special trip to Sterling Mines. Each day includes journaling and nature-inspired art projects to spark creativity and reflection. Students also cooled off with swimming at the town pool and participated in fun, hands-on SEL (Social and Emotional Learning) lessons through our exciting partnership with NJ4S. It's a summer full of growth, adventure, and wisdom in the wild!
