Bill Richardson who has served as a U.S. Congressman, Ambassador to the United Nations, Secretary of Energy, and Governor of New Mexico. He has been nominated several times for the Nobel Peace Prize.

Halsted is celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month! Today we will be highlighting:
Lin-Manuel Miranda who is a composer, lyricist and actor of Puerto Rican heritage. He is well-known for creating the musicals "Hamilton” and “In the Heights,” and for showcasing Hispanic talent and stories in his productions. He most recently wrote music for the movie Encanto and the musical New York, New York.
Digital Library Card Links are now available! Even if students signed up for one last year, they must sign up for it again this year. With the digital library cards, students will be able to access materials/books/resources from the Sussex County Library, digitally. Please note, that students will be unable to use this card to check out physical books from the library.

Fundraising can be done online, or by using the catalog and paper order forms that are being sent home with students on September 14th. Thank you for your support!

Last week, Mrs. Oliveira's 7th and 8th grade classes did the Stacking Cup Challenge! They were only able to use sting and a rubber band to make a 6-cup pyramid/tower. Awesome teamwork, students!
