#184DaysofBrave: Day 107 C2C’s Community Caring Club made over 50 Valentine’s Day cards. On Thursday, a few fifth grade members delivered the cards to residents of Liberty Tower during an ice cream social hosted by the Newton Recreation Department. The residents enjoyed the cards and conversation and our students learned the value of community service.

In addition to this celebration, we also want to celebrate that tomorrow is SRO Appreciate Day and we want to take the opportunity to sincerely thank Officer Justin Bellis for being such an amazing member of our team. Three of Mrs. Nieman's 7th grade ELA students, Savanna Sibilia, Taylor Sibilia, and Grace Zayac, entered a writing contest sponsored by Young Writers USA. The contest, called "Fright Club" involved writing a 100-word story, which is more challenging than it sounds! Savanna, Taylor, and Grace's stories were all chosen by the editor to be published in a book titled Fright Club - What Lies Beneath, which is scheduled for publication this April. We're looking forward to seeing their work in print, and we're very proud of their accomplishment!
